My Father Never Yelled at me Once

My father never raised his voice

or yelled at me no matter what

happened.

I cannot remember a time.

Ever.

The Circle

The Circle completed itself in a way I'd never expected.

I was able to feel a part of my father that I had forgotten even existed

and in that way I was able to feel a part of myself.

The Lathe

It was on a Lathe like this that my father and I used to make the round wooden poles that were set on the front of the grandfather clock that he made for me.

It was stolen.

So I fantasize  that the person who stole it will suffer horribly and their families suffer horribly in murder and death and darkness and pain

from the bad luck of taking a thing that belonged to the soul of another.

But, sadly  the nature  of thieves does not believe in karma otherwise they would not be thieves.

The devil protects it's own.

So I continue to fantasize how they will die horribly and their families die horribly  in murder and death in darkness and pain,

because I know

that that clock is haunted by the Spirit of my father.

And Daddys pissed.

Will he help make my fantasies come true?

The Level

My dad's favorite tool.

He got  a kick out of showing it off.

And to make the point on

how effective it was

He'd place it over a 2 by 4

And show me how

the little bubble played in a tiny little yellow window,

to prove it was LEVEL

because it

floated back and forth

like the bubble in a lava  lamp.

Wax paper and Leaves

The Sawdust Man and I put leaves in wax paper and hid them in our favorite book Aesops Fables.

A fable a leaf.

Florida 40 years ago

My father and I walked on the beach and found a shell like this.

His pictures are now historical portraits.

Do they exist in a basement of dust?

Right brother John?

No copies for me.

Memory killer.

So readers.

 I need your help.

Contact, email, sign a petition.

Stop the slimy little snail.

from destroying my father's legacy.

We shall see. We shall see. We shall sea.

By the seashore.

Daddy do you hear me?

The Sawdust Man, Cinderella's father has come back from the dead to avenge her against, his evil vampire sons.

In this poem Cinderella reaches out to him.

----------------

Daddy do you see me?

Daddy if you see me can
you see your sons?

Can you feel their hatred and their fear and their murdeous hearts?

See me daddy through their sickness and see me destroyed in pain

Daddy do you hear me?

Kill three birds With one stone

Killing three birds with one stone seems like a perfectly good idea to me, and to my Dad.

The question is, "Where are these three birds?"

Are they in Toronto?
Are they in L.A?
Are they sitting in a classroom in Atlanta?

Is it best to find them together, throw a stone and bash them all in the head at once?

Those three birds, those three sinners and one stone.

From Toronto to Fort Lauderdale

My father drove all the way from Toronto to Fort Lauderdale Florida,
I was seven.
He took me to Disney Land.
The Tiki hut and the singing parrots.
Driving for days.
Driving to the Fort Lauderdake Beach
and me puking in the car,
My father loved to drive

He worked for the Xerox  company

Sales.

He drove to Hamilton,
He drove to Peterborough
He was proud of his company car and he loved to drive.

He took me to his office
I played on his desk and  took some pens home.
He took me to Peterborough  and I met his girlfriend
who treated him kindly...
with love.
She made him blueberry perigies. The same color as the ocean water

On the Fort Laudedale beach he took my hand and I promised never to tell.

My father couldn't Swim

My father did not learn to swim

but

he took Me to swim , at our cottage in Camp Polermo,

most every weekend in the summer,

after horseback riding.

Its no coincidence  my mother was swimming the night he died.

Its no coincidence that his son helped him to the bathroom on that fatal nite.

That's where my father fell and hit his head on the watery marble floor,

as his son the lifeguard stood by.

Its no coincidence.

He loved Binoculars

My father, The Sawdust Man bought one of these for each of his sons at Christmas. He gave me mine in private so not to make my mother jealous.

My character, Bi Polar Cinderella uses these magical  binoculars to identify Demons. Turns out the Demons are in fact her three older step brothers, Pants on Fire, The Instigator and Nervo.  In their prime they saulked her, and stole her majical orbs with sadism and sickness in  their hearts.

How could Cinderella possibly defend herself? She could not. She became sick and homeless, degraded, demoralized and lost.

Years past and time was good to her.

Her wicked step brothers became smelly and withered old yet powerful demons but Cinderella became young and strong.

These magical binoculars will help her find the three demons and their genetic nests that they have seeded with their stink.

They should be afraid. They should be very afraid.
