French Dressing
The Sawdust man likes French Dressing
Maybe he will dip his sons in French Dressing
before he shoves anti freeze down their throats and feeds them to the pigs.
Piano Lessons
His heart broke
When my piano teacher
Said, "I prefer you did not come in to listen to the lesson."
My father was relegated to his car and
he listened to suspense stories on the radio.
When I opened the car door,
lesson done.
Home James!
I could see He was the most peaceful most happy Sawdust man
EVER!
Kenny Rogers played on the radio.
And on the passenger seat lay
Donnie and Marie, Osmond

Don't Cut your Salad Joey
(Every nite my mother swore and screamed because her husband Joey would cut his salad at the dinner table. For some reason my mother did not believe in cutting salad at the dinner table and my father's stubornness resulted in abuse and spitting and swearing and yelling...but still my father cut his salad at the dinner table.. He liked it that way).
Joey
Don't cut your salad.
Joey, don't cut your salad.
Salad Joey
Don't cut it
Why the fuck are you cutting your salad
Joey
Don't cut your salad
Stop Fuckin cutting your salad,
Joey
You fucken piece of fucken shit
Don't Cut your Salad Joey

Soot and Terror
She made the Sawdust Man get down on his hands and knees, turn around on his back take a broom and sweep the chimney.
The soot rained on him, the dirt and the dust and the grunge.
It reminded him of his father
... a coal miner.
It brought him pain everytime he swept the chimney.
The tears from his eyes would drip down his face like cheap mascara
But she made him do it.
She liked to watch his pain.
Witch Bitch was evil.

The love of a Father and his Daughter
There is no greater nor profound love then that of a father to his daughter
NONE
My father
My childcare
My father
Me
I CRY like he died yesterday at least one a week
I am always surprised by the amount of tears.
They just literally pour down
I had no idea my eyes could be so wet, so wet that when I open them it's like opening my eyes underwater and I myopically see
There is no greater nor profound love then that of a father to his daughter
My father
Childcare
My father
Me

The Lathe
It was on a Lathe like this that my father and I used to make the round wooden poles that were set on the front of the grandfather clock that he made for me.
It was stolen.
So I fantasize that the person who stole it will suffer horribly and their families suffer horribly in murder and death and darkness and pain
from the bad luck of taking a thing that belonged to the soul of another.
But, sadly the nature of thieves does not believe in karma otherwise they would not be thieves.
The devil protects it's own.
So I continue to fantasize how they will die horribly and their families die horribly in murder and death in darkness and pain,
because I know
that that clock is haunted by the Spirit of my father.
And Daddys pissed.
Will he help make my fantasies come true?
The Level
My dad's favorite tool.
He got a kick out of showing it off.
And to make the point on
how effective it was
He'd place it over a 2 by 4
And show me how
the little bubble played in a tiny little yellow window,
to prove it was LEVEL
because it
floated back and forth
like the bubble in a lava lamp.
