Your Old Dog

There is no magic dog food.
      Understand that.
No pill.
No surgery,
that will cure your Old Dog.

Old age is not a disease.

Please understand and be gentle with them.

See them off on their journey.
Don't fight to prevent that journey

And please don't let your Old Dog die alone in a vets cage tortured from saving.

Let your face be the last thing your old dog sees because this is exactly what your old dog wants.

Channeling My Yogi #3

The soul can never be a piece of Real Estate.

The heart cannot be weighed and
         exchanged for gold.

You can't catch love and call it
           a commodity.

I should have had an abortion

"I should have had an abortion."

Ok Mom.

"I should have had an abortion."

Ok Mom I heard you.

"I should have had an abortion."

Ok. Mom

"I should have had an abortion."

Yes Mom. And I should have ripped out your insides and let you bleed to death.

But we didn't did we Mom?
We didn't do what we should have done.

Didn't we Mom.

Dad loved Bread and Butter

My Dad often said,

"You gotta know where your bead and butter comes from".

What?

In other words bread and butter is a dual metaphor  for "the bottom line".

The "bottom line"is a metaphor for a job or situation in life that pays the bills in  a long term and stable way...

enough to support a family four.

The best line is the rewritten line,

The love of a Father and his Daughter

There is no greater nor profound love then that of a father to his daughter

NONE

My father
My childcare
My father
Me

I CRY like he died yesterday at least one a week
I am always surprised by the amount of tears.
They just literally pour down

I had no idea my eyes could be so wet, so wet that when I open them it's like opening my eyes underwater and I myopically see

There is no greater nor profound love then that of a father to his daughter

My father
Childcare
My father
Me

My father's Heart Burst

The autopsy man said,

"his heart emploded. Never seen anything so violent. A gun shot to the heart...maybe?"

That's  a  broken heart. My father's heart.

That's  the breaking of a man.

His spirit and soul.

A kind man my Sawdust  Man.

Thump thump boom!
